The off humor redeemed it

I felt like I was watching B-roll for a Weeknd concert. This movie served no purpose at all. Genuinely one of the worst films I’ve seen in a bit.

Very weak story to even attach the karate kid franchise on it. Had its moments though. Very short movie to justify anything.

Really enjoyed the aesthetic, kinda fell off the rails in the 3rd act.

The first 90 minutes felt like a convoluted clip show which felt insulting if you’ve been attached to this franchise. Some elements I would’ve switched between this and Dead Reckoning. Satisfying enough of a conclusion but could’ve done more.

I can see why this was originally going to be a Disney plus film. If you’re a big fan of the original you’re gonna have a frustrating time watching this. Kids won’t mind it and it’ll make money so it’s reached its intended goal. The changes/tweaks for the most part can be harmless but big the simple story and iconic moments from the original down. Zach Galifinakis as Jumba is absolutely horrible.

There’s an interesting story somewhere but it never showed up. While Chris Pratt is funny he could not save this film.

Lots of nods to its predecessors. Great opening act even though it relied on a lot of CGI. The bloodline storyline is kinda hokey for my liking.

It took time getting used to the hammy acting from the leads. Too many subplots to keep track of.

My least favorite of the trilogy but still very enjoyable
