Task #25 of Scavenger Hunt #30

IT is a perfect hybrid of several different films. Notes of Goonies, Stand By Me and Nightmare on Elm Street are among the strongest with a few Stephen King Easter Eggs sprinkled in. The novel was possibly my favourite book of all time and though it doesn't necessarily follow the book that closely it's completely aced the characters.

The coming of age story mixes with horror thanks to Pennywise who gets less dialogue than he did in the miniseries from 1990 but he's far scarier. The kids have a great dynamic with every member of the Losers Club getting attention.

Few films can be as compelling while also being scary as hell. IT is a must see.
