Thunderbolts*

I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't too impressed by the first half. I had to think, "this is what my friends been hyping up?" But once the second half kicked in, I truly respected and adored how this turned out. It feels refreshing to see a marvel movie that isn't just hype fuel and all that. Just a pure down to earth sorta heartwarming climax. Like Robert (haha) isn't a regular marvel superhuman. He's a person with abilities that's effected by his emotions and trauma and his actions led him down a path of consequences of what he been cursed with, Hatred and Self Loathing. I really like this wasn't as action packed as I thought, no epic fight scenes just some human reconnecting between the protags and the villain, helping them overcome their actions with words and not with violence, and I think that's what make Thunderbolts unique, I genuinely cried when Robert tried to beat up the void, almost succumbing into the hate until the team stops them. Just some powerful stuff. I might need to rewatch this to maybe enjoy it a lot more but damn...it just feels so fucking good to have a new good marvel movie for once. Phase 5 and onward may not have been the best, but there truly are some diamonds in the rough if ya look hard enough.
