Mad Max 2 with water instead of oil as the commodity worth dying for. A lot of cave/castle scenes where I couldn't really see what was going on, but it didn't sound too exciting.
Anyway, big battle in the end which is halted by a downpour and, despite all the violence, everyone smiles and dances with joy while their friends lie dead at their feet. Gotta love 80s b-movies.
So many questions...trivial ones...but enough to occupy my mind throughout the film.
Atlantis seems to have no roads...yet the Atlanteans have cars and motorbikes. Or did they spend the first few hours of their emergence from the deep customizing all the vehicles on a Caribbean Island with plastic moulding to try and look like something out of Mad Max, and then teach themselves to drive?
I should learn to switch off and just enjoy the 80s schlock for what it is
