Yura Borisov as Igor is who elevated this film (for me) from something I felt baffled was being reviewed as the second coming of Christ, to a story that really had something to say. That man mastered silent looks.

It still didn't connect with me like it did for many, many others, but I enjoyed myself nevertheless. Unfortunately it did not make me laugh, but the drama was engaging! I do think I appreciated Red Rocket more as the stakes felt higher and I was slightly more invested in the story's overall message.

Mikey Madison was gorgeous and deeply invested in this role, and I felt that at all times. So despite this not being completely for my taste, I respect what she did!
