Rewatched this in anticipation of the live-action remake—and also to remind myself why I loved it so much in the first place. The performances are highlights in both Pattinson's and Defoe’s repertoire, the black and white photography is gorgeous, and the story of "Winslow" coming to with his tentacle fetish was truly powerful stuff.
