Breathtaking. As a giant Dune fan, Denis has not only given us one fantastic Dune film but has now completed the first novel in epic, bold and funky fashion. Denis turns up the weird in this one while also delivering one of my favorite 3rd acts in quite some time. The last 5 minutes of this movie had an absolute knot in my stomach and that means Denis delivered on the intent of Herbert’s novel and what it means. Denis Villeneuve, you are one of the brilliant masters of the craft of filmmaking. Bring on Dune Messiah baby!
