What a mess! The funny bits are not funny and everything else falls flat. The whole thing was laborious and I didn't care for anybody in this ''sitcom'' besides maybe Holly Hunter, hence the 1 star rating. As for Zoe Kazan, this has to be one of the most atrocious performances by an actress that I have ever seen. Yuk! If you are looking for an authentic upbeat semi-autobiographical film about a ''real'' couple dealing with a real illness, go watch La guerre est déclarée instead. And what a documentary it is. It's funny how sometimes people with great talent make it while others don't. I haven't heard Sixto Rodriguez's albums but the songs we hear throughtout the films are fantastic and it really makes you wonder why he isn't as well known in America…
