One of the most visually striking horror films I've ever seen. The cinematography is top notch and really draws you in.
A story of the interactions between grief, discomfort, and mistrust between a newly orphaned child, the woman who very recently married his now-deceased father, and the people in their lives trying to help them navigate this difficult new world.
It's a slow burn for most of the film, but I think the burn pays off by the end.
Another really great monster film where, while the monster is represented physically in the film, the real monster in internal anguish.
The special effects were kind of iffy at some points, and I think the ending could have been a little better, but overall a really great heady scary movie for this spooky season.
