nah this movie had me ready to do push-ups in my room. coach carter walked in like “i’m not here to be liked” and then changed lives with a clipboard and a contract. made those boys wear ties, sit front row in class, and EARN the right to play. and when he locked the gym even though they were winning??? I WAS GASPING.
timo cruz’s monologue?? life-changing. “our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate...” bro i was sobbing.

steven spielberg said “let me fix that” and did.
more accurate casting. incredible choreography. rachel zegler carried with the softness of a soap bubble and the power of an earthquake.
“Cool” gave me actual chills.
