Celine Song continues her pragmatic approach to love and romance in her sophomore entry in Materialist. Even when you recognize the predictable beats that exist in so many Rom-Coms, Song makes every moment grounded with so much nuance. To the point where you find yourself understanding that whichever path Dakota Johnson’s character Lucy chooses, it would he a viable path for her.

Bong Joon Ho is BACK BABY!

As someone who read the original book from which this movie was “based” on. I say that because it’s very loosely adapted from Edward Ashton’s story but the creative liberties and changes that Bong Joon Ho made elevated this story to new heights.

No one does dark comedy like Bong Joon Ho. 
Robert Pattinson deserves awards for this performance.
