Tagged as comedy/drama but it's really a psychological horror film. An unfulfilled life is faced with the dread of loneliness and boredom, until a glimmer of hope appears in the shape of a young woman. Except to get to her, our hero must endure the pain of blending in and having (or trying to have) fun with young people. Normally, hilarity would ensue but this isn't a rom-com so instead we get to witness a show of mental breakdown and self-humiliation that is more and more difficult to watch but gripping nevertheless.

A musical that's a fusion of the classical Little Mermaid story and the memories of growing up as a teenager in the isle of a bourgeois dance club during 80's communist Poland.
The way it's edited makes the film feel kind of fractured, as if it's a compilation of music videos, but it has a great soundtrack of 80's electro-pop, a bit of punk, and gloomy post-punk. Just imagine this being sung at a wedding:
"Because I'm sad and so are you
And now he's sad, cause we're sad too
You all are sad and they're all sad
Everybody's bloody gloomy."
