I just read the book, I love this movie. The stars collided and gave us this? One decade- TCSM, Star Wars, Godfather. 70s are the best age of film IMO. This is pure art, pure kino, I know I'm a chud but it made me realize that a good movie is a lot more simple than I give credit for. It's not about doing any one thing in a new way, it's about building upon what's come before and getting the basics right. I love it bro.
