That's film minimalism at its best: no names, no backstory, just a driver and his mission. You can see which films it draws its influence from and which films it later influenced. Also, Isabelle Adjani was one of the most beautiful women ever to be put on film.

Flawed like its characters, it starts as a cheesy love story but if you hang enough it devolves into a web of conspiracies and betrails. Stick out for the end and you will have no regrets.
