A person two rows in front of me plugged their ears during the shootout scene and that’s how I knew I was experiencing history on the silver screen. My ears are still ringing, my bones rattling, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Masterpiece.

Stop steering and start driving.

Driving as an art, stick it to the man who wants to steer that art. A movie so unafraid to embrace the zany and as a result we are blessed with this maximalist fever dream of color and adrenaline.

Witnessed the opening and closing sequences on 35mm, the Wachowskis are gods.

I’ve seen Heaven and it’s the Showdown at the House of Blue Leaves on 35mm.

Forget Oppenheimer, where was Cillian’s Oscar for Red Eye? His raspy voice at the end is endlessly funny.

I when I saw this back in like 2009, I loved it but hated the ending. 

It’s 2023 and I still the hate the ending but the separation of the bomb from Icarus is still a God tier scene (especially in a packed theater).

Easiest 3 stars of my life. There’s a moment where Mike Dudikoff football hikes a katana to kill another ninja.

The thing about perfection is that it’s unknowable. 

A perfectly imperfect movie. My soul ascended watching this in theaters again.
