So bad, it’s good.

Can a movie truly be bad, if it fills you with joy? Is “good” even quantifiable or is “good” simply what makes you feel good? I can recognize that aspects of Troll 2 are bad, but it still makes me happy to watch it, so is it then a good movie? I’d watch Troll 2 100 more times before watching something like Argylle, which is arguably more competent, but brings far less joy.

Womp womp, movie uses AI images for some of the commercial break/transition title cards. I can already see the response, “it’s not that big of a deal” or “it doesn’t affect the movie”, which the latter may be true, but it’s a slippery slope. If this gets a , where do we draw the line? Complacency in accepting AI now is complacency for AI in the future— a very bleak future. 

Shame, for what’s it worth, I enjoyed the movie…
