Was really digging this until the ending. Oh how they massacred my boy Tyrant.

Crazy idea, scrap the jangling keys multiverse in favor of stories that care about their characters.
Also more movies where Bucky looks like the Terminator.
That one sequence. You’ll know it when you see it. Magnum opus type scene. Spirit awakening type scene. Inspirational, foundational, monumental.
I am not exactly sure where the line between homage and cheap imitation begins or ends. It’s not exactly a black and white answer, but it’s something that crossed my mind while walking out of Freaky Tales. A movie that very proudly wears its inspirations on its sleeve, but maybe that’s the distinction? Proudly. Im not sure, but what I am sure is that…
Fascinatingly bad movie, but if it deserves any credit, it’s shot on location so at least it looks like a movie?
Other than that, it’s a hoot to watch. Michael Madsen simply does not want to be there. Billy Zane’s wig? I’m both shocked and not shocked Michelle Rodriguez is here, same goes for Ben Kingsley.
Entering the Uwe Boll stretch of adaptations, should be interesting.
Capitalism, fascism, government control of our bodies. Wake up. Work. Die. Repeat. Not sure if we can beat the system, but for Bong Joon Ho, it’s worth fighting if there’s love.
Profoundly romantic movie.
Movie unironically uses the word “unalive” by the way. Society is cooked.
Too many characters, Overworld feels weightless, storytelling is afterthought— normal ingredients for a blockbuster intended for kids from a studio that only cares about exploiting an IP kids love. 2025 y’all.
Incoming “it’s a kids a movie” excuses as if kids movies can’t be good
