Deadpool & Wolverine

2024

★★★½

Essentially, it plays itself out like a movie version of the 'Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe' comic (but 20th Century Fox Marvel edition), and you know what, I ate it right the fuck up y’all, I’m not gonna lie to you.

While it does come off a bit aimless here and there in the long run, I was still smiling, hooting, and hollering at all the ridiculous fan service from start to finish.

Personally, in my eyes, all the cameos here actually felt purposeful within the plot of the movie. By a certain point, and without getting into exact spoilers, the film essentially transforms into a sort of Island of Lost Souls for non-MCU cinematic characters for a while, and I found it all quite charming, I would say.

All in all, it’s a fun time—nothing more, nothing less. If you enjoy it, great; if not, that’s fine too. One thing I know for certain after three movies is that Ryan Reynolds was born to play this role.

Wouldn't have expected anything less from the director of such a classic like 'Big Fat Liar.'

Bye Bye Bye!
