Epic. Tragic. Horrifying. Beautiful. Dune: Part Two was everything I wanted and more. Experiencing a film of this magnitude is a generational experience. The story is incredibly rich with its lore and world building. Each character is fantastically written and they’re all interesting in their own right. The visuals are absolutely stunning on all fronts. The cinematography is stunning, and the effects might honestly be the best ever.

I have so much to say on this, but it’s one of those things I have to see again to really express all of my feelings. There is so much depth and things to unpack that I need another viewing and some more time to express it all. I will say right now that Dune has solidified itself as the sci-fi/fantasy epic of this generation, Denis Villeneuve is one of the greatest directors working today, and this is one of the best films I have ever seen. Masterpiece.
