Eyebronx’s review published on Letterboxd:
Casablanca is a prime example of efficient, enthralling filmmaking. Not one shot out of place, very sharp dialogue, every performance is on point and the direction is so damn crisp. The story is simple, the characters are simple, the themes are simple, yet all of these elements come together like a well oiled machine. Bogart has such a cool aura about him and Ingrid Bergman is absolutely luminous, the two of them have electrifying (albeit rather unconventional) chemistry. I was also pleasantly surprised by how genuinely witty some of the writing was here as well?
I can’t find much to fault here, this is a classic with good reason.
