The creators of the MCU gave themselves a nearly impossible task with Infinity War. The result of their gamble is a story that unforgivingly sets our heroes up against impossible odds, finally reveals a villain who more than lives up to a decade of hints and teases, and ends with one of the most dramatic and devastating cliffhangers to ever hit the big screen. The decision to leave audiences so emotionally devastated with just the slightest degree of post-credit-scene hope to cling to was audacious. It bumps Infinity War up into the top slot of my MCU ranking.

I just adore everything about this movie.

I feel like I had some minor plot point quibbles while I was watching the movie, but there were so many face huggers, I can’t anything else.

One star for Deborah Karr and half a star for Cary Grant. That’s it. Yeesh.

The social anxiety produced by stranger inviting himself over for lunch hardly needs a horror movie to speak for it, but The Shout proves to be up to the task.
