Pretty good with two solid leads and that 90s feeling of simple and engaging storytelling.

The whole plot device around Ethan not getting into the police force was probably the most unbelievable part, given their standards.

But why not use Driving Home for Christmas for the car scene? It was right there.

Devoid of soul or original thought. Magic and wonder replaced by silicon valley's wet technocracy dreams. CEO Santa reigning over North Pole Wakanda with the help of a top notch drone-driven surveillance agency.

Prime example of taking all the ingredients of a thing without understanding the essence or meaning of it. Christmas. Mythology. Action movies. Fun.

Not a single person involved cared for anything in this. Red One is the epitome of cinematic nihilism.

Two of the best performances I've seen in years. Colin Farrell all but disappears under the suit and makeup and delivers with such subtlety, force and humour, it's simply a joy to watch him work.

But my girl Cristin Milioti is on another level. I cannot put into words what Sofia Falcone does to me. What a performance. Those eyes alone can put emotion on the screen for days. Unbelievable.

Her origin episode is one of the most horryfing pieces of storytelling I've seen in a long time, too.

Rewatched the show twice now and it still holds up.

Nida Manzoor deciding to tell her feminist story with the Hong Kong cinema she grew up with is exactly what we need. And we desperately need more fresh takes like this one.

Infinitely likeable characters and storytelling. Great actresses. Hell of a debut.
