Snow White

2025

★★½ Watched

Rachel Zegler, innocent! Not quite the dumpster fire it was made out to be and yet still pretty mediocre in its adaptation. Gal, however, was as bad as predicted. She started off alright but quickly deteriorated, made worse by a truly insanely terribly song (one that rivals that horrible rap by Awkwafina from The Little Mermaid). What do these remakes have against good villains?

Anyway, just go watch the original. It’s a stunning piece of art. Justice for Someday My Prince Will Come and One Song.

All the warm feelings of Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris but gay. A perfect Pride Month watch. Go lesbians, go!

"You think, what the hell. Life goes on. Maybe there won't be marriage, maybe there won't be sex, but by god there'll be dancing."

I wonder if Rupert Everett's back still hurts from carrying this whole film. Everything else about this is kinda off putting. I love miss Julia but her character kinda sucks. For the record, this would've been a 2 or 2.5, but Rupert's scene steal in Act 2 really saved it for me.

Titanic

“I’d ask for ice, but this is ridiculous.”

This was the miniseries my parents had me watch instead of going to see Titanic because they thought it was too intense. Upon rewatching, it’s not as bad as I anticipated it might be. Production value is decent and there’s some star power moments with Catherine Zeta and Peter Gallagher. But holy hell some of those plot lines. Crazy nanny abducts baby? Tim Curry as a rapist jewel thief? Those are CHOICES.
