I got absolutely roasted when, in a lapse of judgement I rated this 3.5/5 based on my memory of the film. Watching it again, I can happily award this film another half star. It is definitely cult-classic-status.
But Lilly's parents are right, she really does need an attitude adjustment.

Bong has a thing for people eating recycled goo bricks on enclosed linear vehicles on one way journeys, where arms that go outside of the vehicle get cut off.
This was really fun! But every storyline felt like it could use 30% more time to explore. Like a limited series amount of time.
Also I want a creeper stuffed animal, and can't get the image of tail cutting out of my head.
I watched this around 2004 and only now, on my second watch, 20 years older, am I realizing how formative it was in my absolute #1 phobia: being the woods alone at night. Watching this was like revisiting a place and having dormant memories wake up. Except the memories are your worst fears.
I've been wanting a movie to genuinely scare me, and... well... I want to throw up I'm so skeeved out. So, A+ on that front.
