One of the more honest portrayals of being so blinded by who and what you think somebody is that you're willing to overlook how fundamentally rotten they are to your life and mental health. Been there many, many times! Also, as a chronic apologizer, this is the most ~seen~ I think I've ever felt in my life.
What a lovely, hilarious delight. Not fully my brand of humor or animation but a ton of fun. I think it's going to be really special for some folks.
Being a Scott Adkins diehard comes with the caveat that you kind of expect most of the 500 movies he makes in a year to range from "that was fine" to "holy fuck, this is terrible." Every once in awhile though, you'll get an Avengement or UniSol: Day of Reckoning or One Shot or Undisputed III. Diablo is one of those gems that immediately ranks among his best work.
