Where Roy Batty represented the fear of memory being lost in time — that perhaps this may all be pointless. Joe (K) represents the beauty in leaving your mark on someone. That the human experience is truly about the impact you make on others. You don’t all the details of your memories, but you do your feelings. Those emotions are the point of it all. Whoever did the sound design for Orlok’s chomp and suction deserves a raise. Every death I have to wince because of the nauseating noise.
