Day 1791 of watching at least one film per day - Awards: Prospects 2025/26

Wasn't expecting much, but it was actually quite fun and pleasant to look at. I also really appreciate when this kind of film doesn't overstay its welcome, and the three short stories + finale structure worked very well for that purpose. Would be a cool nomination, but I'm pretty sure this is not eligible for the Oscars, though.

No matter how silly they get, I always end up enjoying these Star Trek movies. This one in particular is more remarkable than most.

Interesting images of destruction. Points out the issue of colonialism for just a second, but doesn't even include it in its cleanly packaged green "solution". Mostly just another Attenborough liberal-reformist climate action propaganda, without any real challenges to the system itself in it. Sure, David, the ruling classes can probably keep the planet alive if you convince them it is profitable enough, but then what? Makes you wonder when would the Prince of Monaco help finance a documentary like this for someone like Andreas Malm or even Greta Thunberg.

Not only not funny, but painfully unfunny. The kind of "jokes" that even your conservative uncle would recognize as cringeworthy and galling. The closest I've been to intentionally DNFing a film, and probably the most obnoxious thing I've watched in my entire life.
